Let me just say, I love Jesus. I've been following Him for nearly my whole life, and I believe what He says -- about God, about me, about you, and about the world. I believe His way of living is the right way to live in this world, despite what my society and culture, even my own heart, may say to the contrary.

Why did I start this blog? There are hundreds of MILLIONS of blogs on the internet today. Everyone has something to say about something, and I don't know why anyone would really care about what I have to say amongst those millions upon millions of voices. But, if you're anything like me (which some of you may not be), you feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of voices screaming for your attention every day, and you long to hear the whisper of just One.

I don't do anything terribly exciting in life. I got a degree in teaching, didn't like it, and now I'm a barista (favorite job I've ever had). I'm married with a beautiful baby girl, and I live in a typical country suburb. I don't have a lot to say about most things, but I have been studying the Bible for a long time -- not in a theology/seminary kind of way, but in a personal kind of way. I have spent a long time doing my best to listen for the whisper of the one Voice I long to hear. And I have spent many years writing down what He says to me.

 

I started this blog simply to share those things He says through His Word to one American Joe-Schmo, hoping that maybe He would use what He whispers to my heart to whisper to you too.
